Here Come The Powells!

Chance and I met when he was just another client of mine. He started coming to me for his haircuts in the spring of 2018. On my birthday in September of the same year, I received a bouquet of flowers to my salon. They did not say who they were from, but I knew who sent them thanks to an inside joke printed on the card. I messaged Chance to thank him, and found out his birthday was 4 days after mine! I insisted I return the gesture by taking him to dinner for his birthday! Fast Forward a couple months + a couple dates and we were absolutely inseperable by winter! He had started a trucking business for himself and I wanted to see what it was all about. I took a week off of work to tag along. Two days into that 7 day roadtrip up the east coast, I knew that I had accidentally, uncontrollably, unconditionally fallen in love with this man.

Our conjoined families planned a trip to Panama City Beach in September 2020. Before the trip, Chance’s mom asked us if we would be willing to take family pictures on the beach. On our second day of the beach trip we got prettied up and headed to the beach at sunset for photos. We took our big family picture and DeLana told Chance and I that it was our turn. She asked me to walk toward the water and told Chance to follow me. After walking about halfway to the water, I couldn’t hear his footsteps behind me anymore so I turned around to look for him. When I turned around, he was already on one knee looking at me with the ring in hand.

Meet us at the altar at 4:30 for our exchanging of vows, sealed with a kiss! Cocktail Hour will follow immediately after. Expect hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, & seltzers. Dinner will be served around 6:30, followed by cake & dancing! We are so happy to be able to enjoy this day with you!
