How We Met

2.10.15

It all started with a bread bowl. Well, at least for Hannah. John took Hannah on a super romantic first date at the Santa Cruz Diner, where Hannah requested chili in a bread bowl (on-character), and John kept it tidy with a healthy sandwich and coleslaw. After a whirlwind first date that included traipsing all over Santa Cruz and UCSC, John and Hannah were completely inseparable.

The Proposal

10.9.19

John proposed to Hannah on the Greek Island of Milos in a small fishing village on the northern coast called Klima. John had searched for a ring for weeks leading up to the trip that would be just right for Hannah but eventually realized that the only person who could pick the perfect ring for his beautiful fiance-to-be was the lady herself. John found a placeholder ring that he could anxiously carry around in his pocket waiting for just the right moment to arise, then planned for a day of ring-shopping in Paris. After many "almost" proposals, John finally worked up the courage as they were driving down the windy cobbled roads that led to Klima that morning. While sitting out on a small pier watching the tide come in, he got down on one knee ...and the rest is history.
