Matron of Honor
I met Miah on my first day of classes at Angelo State University. In true Miah fashion, she invited me to sit next to her when it was very obvious that I was a freshman in a junior level class who didn't know a soul. Study groups, student organizations, a DM for a job, and a convincing conversation later she became one of the biggest parts of my life. Little did we know that our friendship would bud into what it has become. From dance to building our faith together, our friendship covers many facets of life.
Best Man
Will and I met and quickly became friends due to debate in high school. I haven’t ever found someone with a sense of humor that more closely resembles mine. Which is why Will and I hardly ever have a conversation where we aren't doubled over. We’ve spent dozens of nights driving around until four in the morning pondering life and discussing the finer points of what makes a great Mexican restaurant. He's a supportive friend who I am proud to have standing next to me.
Maid of Honor
Bri and I met after she transferred to Angelo State and joined Delta Zeta. She became my little, and our friendship is one of my most cherished. I always wanted a little sister, and luckily I got 2 through the best sorority in the world. Bri is kind, caring, and consistent. She supports everything I do and is one of my fiercest defenders. Matt and her have developed such a beautiful relationship and I am so lucky that he loves her as much as I do. Although standing next to me, she has a place in both lines.
Maid of Honor
Eva is my law school bestie and the ULTIMATE co-counsel. She is the one who kept me grounded in the thick of law school and continues to cheer me on. She has the biggest heart and wants to help all of those around her. Her drive and passion for knowledge is commendable, and the joy she brings to our life is beyond measure. Matthew and I are lucky she came into our lives, and we thank our lucky stars that she keeps things entertaining and interesting. I couldn't get married without my co-counsel, and I am so happy to have her by my side.
Bridesmaid
Brittan is my older sister, one of my best friends ,and all-around amazing human. Brittan is stubborn, hard-headed, and will never let you win without a fight. She is the reason I am going to be such an awesome attorney: because I had to fight for anything I wanted growing up. She is unapologetically herself and honest at all times. Living with her when I moved back to Lubbock was one of the best times of my life. I am so thankful for her support.
Groomsman
Colton is less than half a year younger than me and has been one of my best friends from the very beginning. We have spent many summers at the pool in his parent's various backyards and spent our weekends as kids having nerf gun wars and one near death experience on four-wheeler. We are lucky enough to get to continue to enjoy at the pool with our new families. A tradition I hope never ends. After a few years of growing up and getting busy with life, we became much closer again in college. Teresa and I are lucky to have such an outstanding person in our lives along with Destiny, Warren, and the rest of the Cmerek clan.
Bridesmaid
I met Rebecca in the spring of 2017 as just "Matthew's girlfriend." Unfortunately for her, this meant a girl she had never met was being invited to all her wedding festivities. Rebecca and I grew close fast, and I am very fortunate to have a future Sister-in-Law that I not only get along with, but also consider one of my closest friends. From Miami Vices in a pool to beers on a beach, we vacation like no one else and fortunately for us get to enjoy each others company for the rest of our lives!
Groomsman
I met August in sixth grade through the Lee Middle School cafeteria. Our friendship grew over the years and began to really take off when I transferred back to Angelo State for my sophomore year of college. August and I spent a lot of time together when I came back to San Angelo and eventually he joined my fraternity and we became brothers. Through Kappa Sigma we became upstanding examples of what young men in a fraternity are meant to be. August is always ready to be there, and I am glad to have such a loyal friend.
Bridesmaid
Hannah and I met twice before we officially became friends. The first time was as an Angelette and a Cheerleader. The second was a little more memorable for the both of us. Matthew brought me to a birthday party for a friend with a group of people I had never met. I walked in and very awkwardly sat by the two other females there; one of those obviously was Hannah. We talked and she was so kind and welcoming to me, a total stranger. Soon we began attending weekly dinners at Hannah's in laws', and our little group became an integral part of Matthew and I's relationship. From pool days to group naps on the red sectional to being the maid of honor in her and Clay's wedding and everything in between, Hannah has been there through it all. I am very thankful to have her in our lives.
Groomsman
In all honestly Clay and I probably met a time or two before we started to get to know each other, seeing as our moms were next door co-workers at Central. We really became friends as the only two non-Hispanic non-Catholic guys in a quinceanera. We stuck out like sore thumbs, but became great friends because of it. Clay and I really grew in our friendship when he got involved at First United Methodist. We went to Canada with Spirit and Costa Rica for a mission trip. Our friendship only strengthened through college when his parents hosted College Night and cooked dinner for me and our friends, which eventually included Teresa, every Sunday night for the better part of a decade. Clay has been our gateway to meeting Hannah, his parents (fun fact his dad is officiating our ceremony), and his brother Zane (one of our ushers). Not to mention the star of the show: Waylon, our ring bearer.
Bridesmaid
Emily and I met when I was a student interested in applying for an open position in her office at Angelo State. From day ONE, she was my biggest cheerleader. Emily is hands down one of the most supportive friends I have ever made. Our title as co-workers quickly turned into the title of besties with morning coffee and chisme to planning some of the most stressful events on campus where we had to do actual physical labor. I would not have survived my time at Angelo State without her by my side. I was honored to stand by her side as her Maid of Honor when she married the love of her life, and I cannot wait for her to stand my side.
Groomsman
Brad grew up with me and Colton, and unfortunately for him had to take on the role of the younger brother neither of us had. We picked on him a lot growing up, but he was always a good sport about it and the three of us became friends that were definitely more like brothers. I worked with Brad for a while during college, suffering under one of the craziest bosses we could imagine. He always has a great attitude and is always ready to have a good time when we come back into town.
Bridesmaid
Holly is another unexpected friend that I am so glad stuck around. We met when I started working for Prep Academy as a consultant dance instructor. Our friendship quickly bloomed on a girls trip to San Antonio and we never looked back. Holly is a friend who, even with her THREE wonderful boys and CRAZY schedule, will drop anything at a moment's notice to be there for you. It might mean that the boys tag along, but we LOVE them, so it is okay. She is fun and outgoing, kind and compassionate, and just all around someone you want in your corner. We are lucky to have her on our side and on our cheering team for life.
Groomsman
Josh and I met freshman year of high school. I think I got to know him just by saying hello to him every day when I was walking through the hall with another friend of his after one period. We spent so much time together in high school there is no way I could remember it all. , Although we don’t get to see each other too often now, nothing ever changes. Josh is the type of friend where you pick right back up where you left off which usually leads us to laughing at something so hard we are in tears every time we are together.
Bridesmaid
Elena is my big, my confidant, my former roommate, and ALWAYS a good time. Elena and I developed our relationship through Delta Zeta, and the bond that we have will last a lifetime. She is a fantastic mentor and friend. She accepts people for who they are and pours as much as she has into others, even when her cup is running empty. She is a fantastic nurse, and I can't wait to share her light with all of you.
Groomsman
I met Hunter when he moved to Bonham Elementary School, in what I think was third grade. We started out as sort of peripheral friends. I always thought Hunter was a little too crazy. Turns out I was right, since he is now a literal rockstar. Hunter is the type of friend that always comes back around and when he is with you will always make sure that time is well spent. No matter how busy he is or what state he might be in tomorrow, if he is with you today, he will make the most of it. You will ALWAYS have a story to tell after spending time with Hunter. He has been such a supportive friend and there's nothing we love more than watching him chase his dreams.
Bridesmaid
Jules is my sister in faith who I found at a very unexpected time. Jules and I met while working in Admissions at Texas Tech University. She is constant, faithful, and always there for whatever you need. Our co-worker relationship turned into the most faithful friendship grounded in our love and belief in Jesus Christ. She couldn't have come into Matthew and I's life at a better time, and I am honored to have her stand next to me. Jules is a force who knows how to lift others up and is always down for a dance party. We love you.
Ring Bearer
Our Honorary Nephew. Waylon, or "Dub", is the sweetest kiddo you will ever meet. We are so excited to have him in our wedding and know he is going to just kill it in his little tux. He is always full of energy, loves to eat, and ALWAYS is down to hang with the gang.
Ring Bearer
Honorary Nephew #2. Warren is the happiest and smiliest baby you will ever see. We love his parents and are so lucky that they are some of our dearest built in friends for life. He is going to rock his job and we can't wait to share him with you.
Flower Girl
The first little one to call me Auntie T. Emilia Grace is as sassy and spunky as her mom, but we wouldn't have it any other way. She loves dancing and we know she will be killing it on the dance floor all night long.
Flower Girl
Daughter of the Matron of Honor. Kit Evelyn is sweet, silly, and all around a bundle of cuteness. She loves Elmo and will always dance to the letter or number of the day.
