Our first date was at an Angel game—a place that already held special meaning, since Shelby’s parents first met at an Angel game years before. Baseball has always been a shared love, so it felt like the perfect beginning. The night was full of laughter, the Angels won, and fireworks lit up the sky. Shelby, who has always adored fireworks, couldn’t stop smiling—and Spencer couldn’t stop smiling at her. It was the start of something that felt easy, natural, and right. At the time, Shelby was in PA school, and life was busy and demanding. But through every late night of studying and long clinical rotation, Spencer was there—patient, kind, and endlessly supportive. He understood the challenges and gave Shelby the space and encouragement she needed, while still making her feel deeply loved. When Shelby graduated, Spencer knew it was the perfect moment to start their next chapter together. Surrounded by their parents and friends at her graduation party, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was a beautiful, joy-filled moment that brought their journey full circle—celebrating Shelby’s hard work and their love all at once. Now, they can’t wait to keep building a life together, filled with love, laughter, baseball games, and of course—fireworks.
