Torn and Hazel met online, and little did they know it would change their lives forever. Torn remembers their first date like it was yesterday. As he drove to Stockton, he parked in front of Raw, a sushi restaurant. He saw Hazel step out of her car and walk toward the restaurant. He yelled out, “Hazel!” She turned around, and for Torn, everything slowed down. In that moment, he knew—she was the one for him. Torn gave Hazel flowers; they hugged and smiled, then walked into the restaurant together. They ordered sushi, but they barely ate because they were so interested in each other. The funny thing is, Hazel doesn’t eat raw sushi, yet she was the one who ordered a raw sushi roll, while Torn ordered a cooked one. Torn could hear Hazel’s beautiful Filipino accent, but by the end of the date, it was gone—and Torn still doesn’t hear it to this day. Little did they know that every time they went on a date, they would crave some kind of boba drink. Now they can’t get rid of each other. Like Hazel always tells Torn, “He’s mine!!”
