They were pretty much an inseparable pair until Nico came along. Luckily she's dating Nico's bestie, so they all get to be best friends for the rest of their lives.

Crystal is the bride's older sister, mama bear, and role model. Not only was she the best big sister a girl could ever have, but she is the most incredible mother to her two daughters. Markie has looked up to her her entire life, but especially as a new mom herself. She is so thankful to have her stand by her side.

Alexis is the bride's oldest niece, who was born when Markie was fifteen years old. She cried tears of joy, when she found out her sister was pregnant; and has loved her with her whole heart ever since. Now eighteen years old, she has grown up to be such a beautiful young woman and one of her best friends.

Julia is the bride's youngest niece. At just fifteen years old, she has accomplished more in life than most adults. Markie's constantly blown away by her maturity, bravery, and genuine sweetness. She can't wait to see the incredible woman she will be.
Holly Harwell

Markie first met Holly, when she was her boss at Urban Outfitters. She may have been a little afraid of Markie at first, but they pretty much clicked right away. From late night dance parties, concerts and Coachella, and even her first Mardi Gras, they've made so many amazing memories together. Holly currently lives in Oklahoma, but she's never too far away to be an amazing shoulder to cry on and a beautiful source of support.
Hannah "Chaps" Chapman

Markie met this British angel through Erick Serna and she's never connected with someone so instantly as when she met Hannah. She is THE most genuine person Markie has ever met, and everyone that has ever met her, falls in love. She may live in London, but between trips to Paris and drunken Face Time calls, they manage to make their very long distance friendship thrive.
Kelly Lavin

Markie met Kelly in the 5th grade, where she was forced to be her roommate at camp, and she's been her of my favorite people on the planet ever since. She keeps trying to get away from Markie by moving to Texas and then NYC, but she hasn't been able to get rid of her. There is no one she would rather watch Gilmore Girls, read Harry Potter, and listen to Rooney with. She is her 3rd sister and she loves her tremendously.
Erick Serna

Markie's "Bro-maid!" Markie met Erick while working at Urban Outfitters; over the years he has become her favorite happy hour pal, fitness motivator, and also mysteriously her only non-blood bridesmaid that hasn't abandoned her and fled California. Markie knows she can always count on Erick to be her biggest cheerleader and closest confidante.
Joey Flynn

Nico met Joey in Kennewick, WA. Joey was a huge nerd but he invited him to Warped Tour with his two older and cooler brothers Kevin and Kyle, so he became friends with him. Little did Nico know, he hit the friendship jackpot. They haven't lived in the same city since high school but you would never be able to tell by their phone calls or visits. Flynn family forever.
Joseph Aldulaimi

Nico met Joseph at a church in Kennewick, WA. They immediately bonded over hardcore music, V-necks, Myspace, and babes. Nico ditched art school and moved out to Inland Empire to pursue a styling career in LA. Joseph's parents let him crash with them while he'd commute to LA for jobs. Joseph and Nico have seen each other at our highest highs and lowest lows in relationships, family, and work. Wish you were here, Jimbo!
Trevor Kelly

Nico first met Trevor via Joseph. They hung out a bit in the Seattle area. Enough for Nico to decide to take a quarter off from art school in order to sell merch for his Christian rock band and travel around the U.S. in a smelly van with 8 other people. Trevor is that cool. Just all around sweet and pure fun with TRAVIS.

Nico first met Chris when he was born. Didn't know what to think of him at the time. Actually, he didn't know what to think of anything at the time. But now Nico knows he's the best big brother a guy could ask for. A great leader and even better friend. Also, he's always jealous of his facial hair.
Isiah Hussain

Nico first met Isiah when he was born. Also didn't know what to think of him at the time. Thought maybe his Ma got him a new toy. Turns out not a toy, but instead, a resilient, loving, and upbeat man.
Malachi Hussain

Malachi Joseph Hussain was Nico's youngest brother of four. His infectious smile would light up any room. He was a gentle young man with a kind soul who was loved by anyone he met. Wish you were here to party with us!
Jake Randle

Nico met Jake at Kennewick High. He always kept tabs on Nico when he was moving from city to city. They ended up being roommates when Nico moved to Seattle. From there they have been roommates in 5 different places, 3 different cities. If he ever mention "Jake Randle," the first comment out of anyone's mouth is "the nicest guy ever!"
Nigel Silverthorn

Nico met Nigel when he was hired at The Short Stop in Echo Park. Nico was his barback while he was bartending. Oh boy, they did not care for each other. One night they closed down the bar and decided to go to a party together, and that changed everything. Now he's one of his best friends. Always down for a trip and doesn't care who's looking. I mean, look at him holding a random baby in his photo.
Jesse Aldulaimi

Nico met Jesse because of Joseph. He's Joseph's little brother. To be clear; he is Joseph's BIG little brother. (Sorry Joe). Jesse was more than Joseph's little brother, but also Nico's little brother. He's had the pleasure to watch Jesse grow from a teen to an amazing husband and father.
Angela Long

Angela made the mistake of generously offering to help us plan Markie and Nico's wedding back in 2019. They of course took her up on that! Thank God they did, because it really unlocked a beautiful friendship. Angela is the hardest working person, and actually has a very important day job, she has selflessly donated her time to make our day special. They truly could not have done any of this without her.

Margaret met Nico first, as she is one of the many Michigan transplants in the group, but she has become close to both bride and groom over the years. She truly has become an extension of the Hester family, she even lived with them for a month! But mostly she’s kept around because she makes the best deviled eggs and she’s the only person that has watched The Office more than Markie and Nico.

Markie literally met Emily the same day she met Nico, so needless to say it was a very special day. Emily really got close to the couple during the pandemic, they bonded over Orangetheory, board games, and boxed wine. Good times! She has become such an amazing friend and a wonderful auntie to Santana.
