Our Love Story

It all started in the DMs. We had been friends on social media for years due to us having mutual friends in South Carolina. Once I announced on Instagram that I was taking my travel nurse journey to California, Justin was kind enough to reach out and tell me to “hit him up” if I needed anything. Although I was in San Francisco and he was in Los Angeles, I kept his offer in mind until I made it down to LA four months later—when I decided to finally take him up on it. We had our first unofficial date in August 2019 at Yard House, where Justin claims I savaged my BBQ wings—but that didn’t scare him away. During our time in LA, we became really good friends while keeping things strictly platonic. Once the pandemic hit, I left LA and we didn’t speak for a few months. Eventually, we got back in contact and picked up our friendship right where we had left off. Over time, Justin became one of my best friends. We would stay on the phone for hours, text all day, and Justin would make weekend trips to Dallas. Anytime I talked about him to my girlfriends, they would always say, “That’s your man,” and I would laugh and say, “No, we’re just friends.” That was until October 13, 2022, when Justin officially became my man—after I said yes to being his girlfriend at the top of the Ferris wheel at the Texas State Fair. A little over two years later, on December 21, 2024, I said yes again—this time to being his fiancée—in Charleston, at what was supposed to be his surprise birthday party, surrounded by our close family and friends. Now, we are joyfully awaiting our big day on March 21, 2026, as you join us to witness our “I do.”
