Our Story

How We Got Here

Our story is layered, unexpected, and full of God. It’s not the kind of story you can explain in a quick conversation — but it is the kind of story where you look back and realize God was aligning things long before either of us had a clue. We always say our journey feels a little like Ruth and Boaz. I came all the way from Seattle on a mission to rebuild my life, grow, and figure out who I was becoming. I wasn’t looking for love — I was looking for God and in the middle of that pursuit, He kept placing moments, conversations, and confirmations in front of us that made it clear He was writing something bigger than we understood at the time. And on the other side of the story was Anthony — faithfully serving, hands to the plow, pouring into the church as an associate pastor and youth pastor. He had reached a place where he honestly thought, “Maybe marriage just isn’t for me. Maybe I’m supposed to stay focused solely on the Lord.” He wasn’t searching. He wasn’t hoping. He had surrendered that desire completely. But God had other plans for both of us. We met at church during a season when neither of us was looking for anything but Him. The first time I heard Anthony preach, my spirit recognized something in his — not romantically, just a quiet alignment that felt like peace. From there, we became friends first. We talked, we laughed, we prayed, and somehow every small moment kept adding up to something bigger. Conversations flowed with ease, dreams confirmed things we hadn’t said out loud, and there were moments that felt too precise to be coincidence. It was purpose aligning, over and over again. Somewhere in all of this, God made our worlds small enough that we could finally see each other clearly. Once we did, everything made sense. We didn’t rush. We didn’t force anything. We just followed God and He kept giving us peace every step of the way.

Our Prayer for the Generations After Us

In everything God has done between us, our deepest hope is that our families will be the most transformed by our union. For the ones who may be unsure or skeptical, We pray our testimony brings hope — the kind of hope that reminds people that God still writes stories, still answers prayers, and still aligns lives in His perfect timing. We pray we keep God so firmly planted at the center of our marriage and our home that generation after generation after generation will know Him deeply, walk with Him boldly, and live for Him fully. May our love be a seed. May our marriage be a witness. May our family line be marked by faith.
