Ruby and Ryan first met in Confirmation class. Ruby caught Ryan’s attention the moment she appeared in class. Ryan began working up the courage to talk to Ruby during one of the breaks. Embarrassingly enough the only words Ryan could think of, as he was watching Ruby struggle grabbing a grape in the food break line was, “Do you need help with that grape?”. Yes, that was the sentence that Ryan used to gain Ruby’s attention. Soon after they began talking little by little and growing in their friendship. It wasn’t until later that Ryan worked up the courage to ask Ruby out on a coffee date and soon the friendship became more than that, and their love began to grow for one another. Soon after a few dates, their growing relationship was then put to the test in 2020. The lockdowns had put a halt to going out on dates. However, Ruby and Ryan still managed to overcome the obstacles that the lockdowns had brought and found creative ways to keep their love growing. After two years, Ryan popped the question on May 1st, 2022, and proposed to Ruby on Coronado Island with their families in attendance.
