Kyle and Amaya met at Yorba Linda High School, introduced by mutual friends while he was a junior and she was a sophomore. After Kyle noticed a photo of Amaya on Instagram, he added her on Snapchat, reached out, and invited her to their first date at a local Chipotle, where conversation came easily. On May 20, 2017, at the Irvine Spectrum, Kyle asked Amaya to be his girlfriend. They grew together through high school, college, and every stage that followed. On February 28, 2025, nearly eight years later, Kyle proposed in Napa, California, overlooking a beautiful vineyard. It was the perfect beginning to their next chapter.
