It was a long, rocky road for Seth and Carley to end up together (or at least it felt that way), but they couldn't imagine a better outcome. They had met once before in the summer of 2017 at Hume Lake Christian Camps where they were both working, but they did not truly notice each other until two years later. The real story begins in March, 2019 at their friends' engagement party. She had noticed him and thought that he was extremely good looking. When she talked to him, he had the kind of humor that makes your belly hurt from laughing. However, when Carley had asked a friend if Seth was seeing anyone, apparently he was "involved" with someone. With that information, she didn't press further. On Seth's side, he 𝘸𝘢𝘴 talking to someone, but that was all. When he met Carley, not only did they talk but he also found Carley to be funny, interesting, and quite charming. Skip ahead to October 2019. Their friends' wedding was underway, and both were in the bridal party. This time, they immediately clicked and were stuck together the rest of the night. He was still as handsome as she had remembered, and he was smitten. At the rehearsal dinner, they could not get enough of each other. They talked and laughed the entire time and by the end of the wedding, they had each other's phone number. The next month was full of day long conversations. This surprised Seth how much he enjoyed talking to this girl, despite hating being on the phone. Carley was falling head over heels at every new revelation, and she knew when she had told her friends, boldly and with nothing to base it off of, "I'm probably going to marry him", it wasn't a crazy idea to her. After a month of talking, they decided to make the relationship official and started dating long distance. Nine. LONG. Months. He was in San Luis Obispo, CA, finishing his Bachelors at Cal Poly. She was in Fort Worth, TX, enjoying a new independent part of her life. Although Seth hated the thought of long distance, he wanted to know Carley more. Long distance was awful for her as well. However, she knew he was someone she wanted in her life, and the rest was inconsequential. After falling deeply in love, Carley and Seth decided to move in together and have been together ever since. Seth asked Carley to marry him in August of 2021 and Carley emphatically said "Yes!!". At the time of their wedding, they will have been together for three years and are excited to share the rest of their lives laughing and enjoying each other's company.
