Wedding Party

The One's Standing By Our Sides

Stephanie Dawes

Maid of Honor

Stephanie and I met on the island of St. Kitts while attempting to make our way through vet school together. Somewhere between long runs, too much pizza, Bobsy’s famous tater wedges, plenty of wine, and countless episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, we became best friends. Stephanie is fearless and has always had a love for the exotic—both in the animal world and, occasionally, in the dating world too. It’s only fitting that her house now contains enough animals to qualify as a small zoo. Through all the chaos of those years and everything that’s come since, Stephanie has been the kind of friend everyone hopes to have: loyal, adventurous, and always ready to laugh. I couldn’t imagine standing at the altar without her by my side as my Maid of Honor.

Courtney Decker

Bridesmaid

Courtney and I met during our undergraduate years at Murray State University, where we quickly became the closest of friends. College was filled with so many fun memories together—lots of laughter, plenty of terrible (but amazing) dad jokes, and many afternoons spent hammocking and enjoying the slower moments of campus life. Courtney has always had a way of making any situation brighter with her sense of humor and kind heart. Today she’s an incredible teacher and an amazing mom to her son, Carson, and I’m constantly in awe of the way she shows up for the people she loves. Even though life has gotten busy and we don’t talk as often as I’d like, Courtney will always be someone I consider a sister. I love her like family and feel so lucky to have her standing by my side as one of my bridesmaids.

Madison Saltsmen

Bridesmaid

Madison is my sister, which means we’ve known each other our entire lives—and like most sisters, we’ve definitely had our share of ups and downs along the way. As adults, though, we’ve grown closer, and I’m grateful for the relationship we continue to build. I had the honor of being the Maid of Honor at Madison’s wedding. After witnessing firsthand how much work that job actually is, she quickly decided she would happily support me from the slightly less stressful role of bridesmaid instead! Madison is also an amazing mom to my nephew, Silas, who I absolutely adore. I’m so glad she’ll be by my side on such an important day.
