FAQs & Dress Code

If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to us at mbhcphilly@gmail.com
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We invite guests to wear summer garden party attire—think midi or maxi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or suits and blazers with dress pants. Florals and colors welcome! We’ll share Pinterest inspiration for anyone who finds visuals helpful (below). Most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable and yourself. Please note: our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors on the grounds, followed by an indoor, air-conditioned barn reception. There are paved paths throughout the venue, but we highly recommend comfortable shoes suitable for walking on grass! Dress Code Inspiration: https://pin.it/5nEe4BYiK

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

September is still decently warm and summery in Philly! The mornings will be a bit cooler 55-65, but daytime temperatures average 60-77. We are hoping for sunny skies, but please keep an eye on the weather report the week before. The venue has a covered patio in case of rain for the ceremony, and the reception will be indoors.

Question

Can I bring a plus one? Are children invited?

Answer

While we would love to have everyone celebrate with us, due to space constraints, we only have room for those listed on your invitation.

Question

Will parking be available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Tyler Arboretum has a spacious parking lot for any guests who want to drive themselves. We will also be providing courtesy bus shuttles to and from the city, which we encourage everyone to take!

Question

I have a dietary restriction/allergy, how do I let you know?

Answer

When you RSVP, there will be an option to select your dinner entree and a box to add in additional information. Please enter any dietary restrictions and allergy information here and we will pass the information on to our caterer. If there are any questions or changes, we will reach out to you to ensure we find a safe option.

Question

Where's the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia?

Answer

Skip Pat's and Geno's -- both mostly cater to tourists. We recommend Angelos' (9th & Bainbridge), Jim's (4th & South), or --Henry's favorite-- the one in the Home Depot parking lot.
