Attending a college with 70% men came with a well-known joke: "the odds are good, but the goods are odd". This referenced the, well, somewhat odd and nerdy guys that typically attended The Colorado School of Mines. We met in the learning community that we signed up for, and found that we often gravitated towards the same activities, and towards eachother. Our first official date happened after Henry embarked on a REALLY awesome backcountry ski route - that also happened to be closed off.... The result? A suspended ski pass and a scenic mountain drive to retreive it. Somewhere between the playlists, the mountains, and the mild rule-breaking, we started falling for eachother. As it turns out, the saying at Mines is true: the odds are good, and the goods are definitely odd. Luckily for us, we each found our perfect kind of odd.
