Maid of Honor
Kate is Maia's childhood best friend. They grew up in Billings Montana together and shared many joyful memories at school, church, on hikes, during sleepovers, and playing lots of kick-ball. The two girls have remained close throughout college, and Kate is about to start med school in Pennsylvania.
Best Man
Marko and Henry met at Sunday school in 4th grade. They became friends, sharing in many church retreats, early waterskiing mornings, and general shenanigans. They share a love of cars and the outdoors. Marko is a forestry student and member of the rugby team at Washington State University.
Bridesmaid
Elena and Maia met in the summer of 2024 during an Alpine Ecology class through the Au Sable Institute. They bonded over more than their love for the outdoors, but also over their matching goofy energy that made them instant best friends. Elena lives in Edmonton, Alberta and is a cross country ski instructor.
Groomsman
Hugo and Henry met when age was measured in months, not years. They grew up together exploring the beaches of Puget Sound, going on family camping trips, VBS day camp, and sleepovers at Suquamish and Bainbridge. Hugo is a recent graduate from the design program at Western Washington University and was member of their rowing team.
Bridesmaid
Ella and Maia both studied Environmental Science at Whitworth University, were a part of the Emmaus Communal Living program, and went to Costa Rica during the month of Janurary 2026. Their friendship bloomed over classes, real and silly conversations, and good coffee in the jungles of Costa Rica. Ella has recently graduated from Whitworth with her bachelors in Environmental Science.
Groomsman
Jude and Henry met through Whitworth's campus ministry programs and developed their friendship over deep theological conversations, walks around campus, and Jude sharing his interest in tea. Lately, they have been catching up on the phone while Jude is pursuing a Master's of Divinity at Duke Divinity School.
Bridesmaid
Amberlea is Maia's older sister, and it shows. She would be the one in charge when their parents were out and was forced to play dress up or barbies with her. Though they've had their sister fights while growing up, "Sisters" from "White Christmas" still rings true in that "there were never such devoted sisters". Her and her husband just moved to southern Minnesota.
Groomsman
Chapel and Henry are current housemates in the Emmaus program at Whitworth. They enjoy chatting about progressive theology, going out for a beer, reading in the living room, and having dinner together. Chapel is an exercise science student at Whitworth.
