GIE'S STORY Henry and I decided to meet at Toe Bang Café in Koreatown, Los Angeles, on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at 6:00 PM. I got there on time, and he wasn't there yet. After 20 minutes, I stepped out of the café and called my sister over the phone. I was getting disappointed and wanted to leave. She told me to calm down and wait for a little while as his commute was more than an hour. I then got a text from Henry that he has been trying to find a parking spot. After few more minutes, he finally showed up and told me how sorry he was for being late. I found him good-looking in person and thought he was sincere and told myself, "girl, glad you waited." We had a fun conversation the entire night. The rest, as they say (no matter how cheesy it is), is history. He's the one worth waiting for! HENRY'S STORY Gie and I set the location and time for our first date. I was looking forward to meeting her in person! I left my place early enough to make sure I'll get there on time. I got there around 6:00 PM but didn't expect that parking could be challenging. There were a lot of people, and most parking spots were full. It took me about 20 minutes to find one. I was worried that she probably already left. I'm usually always early and never late. I texted her and was hoping that she'll still be there. Then I saw her. I felt happy to see her; she's beautiful, smiling back at me. I really enjoyed her company that night. I knew I wanted to get to know her more! And now I'm very excited to spend the rest of my life with her.
Henry & Gie both Love Disney Theme Parks! Early this year, they decided to visit Disney World in Orlando, FL, to celebrate Gie's birthday. Little did she know that Henry has been planning to propose several months before they even planned this trip. On May 15th, 2021, two days before Gie's birthday, at 9:00 AM, as they were about to leave their resort to go to Animal Kingdom, Henry grabbed Gie's hands with the sweetest words and suddenly on his knees, asking her to marry him! "It was so genuine & intimate, I wouldn't change a single detail of that special moment," says Gie with the happiest smile.
