Our story began long before we even realized it. We both grew up on the same street in Hamilton, MA—our families were always close. Alyssa’s dad and Henry’s mom were childhood friends, and it wasn’t long before we were playing together on the street, sharing family dinners, gathering around campfires, and spending summer days at Loons Haven Family Campground in Naples, Maine—where we now have our own seasonal campsite, continuing the traditions that shaped us. When Alyssa’s family moved to Epping, we became inseparable. It was during that time that we realized what we had was more than just a family friendship—it was love. Over the years, we’ve shared so many adventures: from Disney trips, a cruise, a visit to Canada, to family bus rides for basketball tournaments, countless concerts, and freezing cold days on snowmobiles. Every trip and memory has brought us closer and strengthened the bond we’ve built over a lifetime of growing up together. Our proposal was a moment that felt just like us. A couple of weeks before Christmas, Henry surprised Alyssa with an early gift—a sweet puppy we named Jovie. Then, after a long, busy Christmas Day surrounded by family, he got down on one knee while we were in our cozy PJs, fresh out of the shower, and asked her to marry him. It was simple, intimate, and filled with love—just like our story. Family is at the heart of who we are, and we feel so lucky to be surrounded by so much love. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you!
