If you are staying at the Emery Hotel in Downtown, check out the riverside. Walk the stretch between Stone Arch Bridge and Plymouth Bridge. Highlights are concentrated on the south side, including the Guthrie Theater (the viewing platform is open to the public for great views!) and Mill City Farmer's Market (Saturdays)

A small gem within Theodore Wirth Park, the wildflower garden is beautiful at the end of July. The small visitors center inside the reserve (down the hill) provides guides to the blooming flowers. Please note that the lot is paid parking.
One of Anna & Henry's favorite place to spend a hot weekend day is Sea Salt, a casual seafood spot with shady outdoor seating. It's right by Minnehaha Falls and within the larger Minnehaha Park. Please note that parking is paid.
A few of our favorite restaurants: Hai Hai: Our neighborhood spot in Northeast, which happens to be a James Beard nominated restaurant and chef.
