On February 15th I proposed to Audrey. We were in the mountains skiing and snowboarding with the Quinns when I decided to do it. There were many reasons I was worried about it. It was cold, rainy, and foggy at the time I had decided to propose. I found an overlook near where we were staying that I wanted to propose at. I coordinated with her friend Maddie to take pictures and her friend Catherine to handle the party. Thirty minutes before we were supposed to be at the overlook, Audrey changed into pajama pants. I awkwardly asked her to change so that "she wouldn't be cold". After convincing her to leave her friends and family at the condo, we drove to the overlook. At this point it was about 35 degrees, rainy, foggy, and generally unpleasant outside. Nonetheless, I convinced her to leave the car to stare off into the fog that we were standing in. I started to nervously ramble about her family and how long we had been together. She still had no clue what I was doing until I took out the ring. When she finally realized, she was overcome by excitement and joy. She never technically said yes, but I am going to go ahead and count it anyway.
