Shuttle
Shuttle from Airport to Wedding Venue

Guests have the option of a private shuttle for transportation from the San Jose Airport to the wedding venue, La Mariposa Hotel, in Manuel Antonio. Emerging recommendation is to have two separate shuttle services running from the airport to the hotel on Wednesday (November 5th) & Thursday (November 6th). Likely a mid-day and an evening option. If you're planning to take the shuttle kindly provide your flight details to our Wedding Planner, Marianella at: marianella@1955weddings.com so we can determine the appropriate shuttle pick up times. Marianella has created a Google Form to serve as the main repository for all guest's flight details that she can share with you. Shuttle service from the hotel to the airport on Sunday (November 9th) and Monday (November 10) can be arranged as well. A few tips for those planning to rent a car: -If you're renting online from one of the larger rental car companies (Hertz, Alamo, Enterprise, ect..) or booking through third party websites like Expedia or Priceline, ensure that Costa Rica specific charges like insurance are considered in the daily rate you're being quoted. -Auto insurance in Costa Rica is a government monopoly and required by law. The cost for mandatory insurance will generally cost an additional $25 - $35 per day depending on the coverage. - We recommend going with Adobe Rental Car, a local company that we've had a great experience with every time we've rented a vehicle through them. They'll provide you with a transparent quote, inclusive of the mandatory insurance cost.

La Mariposa Hotel
We have a block of rooms reserved at La Mariposa Hotel (see details below). Guests are more than welcome to stay in rooms outside of the block we reserved. All guests associated with our wedding will receive 15% off their room rate. The easiest booking route will be to reach out to Dianny at Weddings@lamariposa.com for all rooms and she'll make sure the discount is applied. You still have the option to reserve a room through the hotel website, just be sure put a note that the reservation is for Marlena & Colin’s wedding so Dianny can manually apply the discount. Other Lodging Options
Would recommend people stay in the town of Manuel Antonio. If you don't find something that works for you at Hotel Mariposa there are plenty of AirBnB and other Hotel / Resort options available that are close to the venue and the National Park. In terms of getting around Uber is widely used and generally a cheaper option than going with a local cab. Everything is walkable technically, but beware of the elevation gain.
