FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

You should RSVP as soon as possible, but the count will be finalized on July 1st, 2027. How to RSPV: You can RSVP on this website at any time. If you received an invitation from us, you can now RSVP. RSVPing also helps us with our plans (speaking with hotels/accommodation, caterers, DJ, etc.).

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Location: The wedding will be in Nokesville, VA. The parents of the groom have graciously allowed the couple to use their property, The Henley Farm, to begin this next chapter in their life. All events (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception) will be at The Henley Farm. For those flying in (you guys are the best), we recommend flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). This is about 25-35 minutes from the wedding venue and lodging. For more information on transport and lodging, please check out the "Travel and Lodging" tab on our website! Parking: There is some parking at The Henley Farm, but it is limited. For those driving in, if it is possible for you to carpool with family or friends, we would appreciate you doing so!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want you to feel comfortable but look nice for the big day! Think nice slacks, chinos, button-downs, or beautiful fall dresses (no jeans, please!) Colors: We'd love for our guests to dress in autumnal colors! To help our bridal party stand out, we ask that you avoid navy blue and burnt orange. Otherwise, please feel free to wear another fall-inspired shade. The Terrain: Skip the stilettos! The majority of our day will be on grass, flats or nice sneakers (like Nike air maxes) are highly recommended. The Weather: October in Virginia gets very chilly after sunset. Since we are fully outdoors, please bring a warm coat, jacket, or heavy wrap to stay cozy into the evening! Blankets and a few outdoor heaters will be available.

Question

Can I bring my kid/are plus ones allowed?

Answer

Due to limited space and budget constraints, we are unable to accommodate children and plus ones at our wedding. Only those named on the formal invitation are included in the guest list. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are pictures allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that phones, and cameras, are placed on silent (or do not disturb) and put away during the ceremony. We paid a photographer for a reason!

Question

Will there be drinks?

Answer

We will serve local wines, beer, and spirits at our wedding. While we are still looking into the exact options we will provide, you can plan on enjoying drinks on us during our wedding!

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

We will have a catered hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour. Dinner will be catered by Lolla in San Juan Bautista, CA (https://www.instagram.com/lolla_sjb/). Three sandwich options will be available (Turkey Pesto, Bacon Brie & Jam, Peanut Butter and Jelly). Please inform us of any allergies. We know you're going to love Lolla sandwiches!

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes, we are registered here on Zola.com. Our list is short, we greatly appreciate you contributing to our honeymoon fund (Jess really wants to go to Wimbledon, help Matt make her dream come true). If you are shopping and see something that makes you think of us or something you wish or were grateful you had when you got married - that is also a great gift!
