We met on a dating app, and Mike made the first move. But in all honesty, it was his St. Bernard, Xyno, who stole my heart first, our ultimate wingman. From that moment on, I was smitten. Our first date was kayaking at the beautiful Causey Reservoir, followed by a late-night bite at Crown Burgers. I remember thinking Mike was way too cool for me; he didn’t say much, and anyone who knows Mike knows that’s very on brand. I was thrilled when he reached out for a second date. Things moved quickly after that, but we loved every minute of getting to know each other. Eight years later, Mike is my best friend, my safe place, and the perfect balance to my world.
