A fierce friend and a sister everyone wishes they had. She has always been a source of peace for me. She makes me think to myself "what would Steph do" in difficult situations. Stephanie is the one you want on your team for Harry Potter trivia. She's the kindest person I know and made choosing my Maid of Honor a simple matter.
Carl Mimms
Best Man and Father of the Groom
The largest inspiration in my life, Carl has been a pillar of strength for me since I was old enough to understand what that means. Carl has spent more time in the woods than out and is a true mountaineer in the most genuine sense of the word. He taught me how to make a fire, catch a fish, and defend myself. I can think of no man better suited to be my best one. Rest in peace, your time is complete. Many people only have their shout into the wind before they're swept away but you roared.

Travis and I were very close growing up. If it was hard for him having two older sisters, he never showed it. He was always in our corner. I have always known if I needed him, he would be there. He will laugh at your expense but can and will also laugh at himself. We've gone from sipping Capri Suns to toasting beers. I feel lucky to have him by my side on my wedding day.

Dan has been my friend since elementary school. Throughout the entirety of my life, he has been there to see me get fat and stay fat. Always willing to help in whatever capacity I've needed him, I'm honored to have him as a groomsman. I'm still surprised he likes Indian food.
Christopher Shelton

Chris is my brother, through and through. I used to borrow his car to get to work. He was my first roommate after I left home. One snowy night, we were watching some horror film and our deck canopy collapsed and the power went out, all in about 5 seconds. We just looked at each other and burst out laughing. He's the greatest guy. I'm lucky to have him whether I am moving a couch or getting hitched.

Wade and I could fill an entire library with all the dumb stuff we've done together. He saw me at my lowest and helped me achieve my highest. I've never met a man like Wade and I don't think I will again. It's just unfortunate that he sucks at keeping his hair.
Kaisi Donahue

Kind-hearted, strong woman and caring mother of two beautiful children. Kaisi and I grew up together. We would spend endless hours at our Memaw's house playing red light, green light and eating peanut butter out of the jar. Whether it was Christmas or someone's birthday or just a Friday afternoon in the summer, if Kaisi was in attendance, I knew we were in for a great time.

Deej is like my older brother. Seriously. You have no idea how much time I spent learning from this man in my formative years. A big bear of a man who can shred a guitar as well as crack every bone in your back, you'll have a hell of a time finding someone who is more patient or kind. I'll never drink Von Dutch again as long as I live though.

In the old band days, she and I were known to be the divas of the woodwind section. She was always so supportive, cheering me on for my solos that I was nervous to perform. So many cherished misadventures, like the time we performed at Carowinds. We snuck out of the auditorium, in full concert attire, and rode the Hurler coaster just before we were to perform. She's a beautiful soul and I am lucky to have her in my life.

Sidney and I became friends when we had to sit in a car together for three hours with nothing else to do. Since then, it's like we never left off. This man can finish my sentences, predict what I'm about to say, and be wrong 50% of the time. Truly, one of the smartest people I know and the preeminent road trip partner in life.

A talented artist and devoted friend. The world is a more beautiful place with her in it. Gabby was one of the few people that made going to high school fun for me. We had art class together and I always looked to her for inspiration. I remember having sleepovers, eating whole pints of ice cream and playing Xbox games. I have laughed harder with her than with anyone else. Every lovely memory with her is one I hold dear.

Sage Frady. The man, the myth, the sole remaining xbox owner in the group. Sage can lift a car and drink a yerba mate at the same time. Sage and I became friends when he realized he could consistently crush me in NBA2k. 13 years later, here we are, still brothers and roommates in spirit.

I met Dalia during my time in Virginia. Moving to a new town and state was tough but I was so happy to have found a friend like Dalia. She is one of the most generous people I know. She helped me every time I had car trouble, which was often with my Impala. Even having known her only a couple years, she's one of my closest friends. My only hope is to one day beat her when we play Nerts.

Tom is a former ranger, if you can believe that. I mean look at him. But seriously, this man has been a driving force in my personal and professional life. He has helped shape me into the leader I've become in my work. A stalwart friend and mentor, I'm honored to have the little fella as my groomsman.

To her, family has never been limited by blood. My mom is strong and generous. She encouraged me to find my own path and be independent. My family has always had a strong bond and credit goes to her for that. She taught me about love, respect and confidence. I love my mom with all my heart. And if you leave her home without a jar of something delicious, it's because you already have some of what she has made.

My best friend since middle school, Alex has had a profound impact on my life. From informing my book preferences to making me realize that coca-cola is by far superior to pepsi, there's hard to find a part of my past that doesn't have his print on it. I've never seen someone with such a strong spirit, especially considering how bad at smash he is.

My dad can make anyone feel welcome. He is truly the definition of a handy man. The way he approaches a problem with an "I can fix that" mentality has certainly shaped the way I solve problems too. He has the most contagious laugh that can always be brought about with a fart joke or a silly cat video. I feel so fortunate to have a father like him behind me. I know I'll never be wanting for love and support, no matter what I may face in life.
