As you know, on September 19, 2020, we got married in a small, outdoor ceremony in Rochester instead of the big bash at Thin Man Brewery in Buffalo. We were planning on hosting a one-year anniversary celebration on October 16, 2021, but the never-ending threat of COVID-19 has forced us to reconsider this decision. The past 11 months have been challenging to say the least. So many of our friends and family have been impacted by the pandemic and many people are struggling to thrive. We feel that holding a celebration to honor our anniversary is a bit insensitive and unhelpful during this significant time in all of our lives. Therefore, we are cancelling our celebration and instead will be donating to Feeding America to help those who have suffered so much during the pandemic and are dealing with the lingering effects. While we will miss seeing everyone as Mr. and Mrs. Lariviere, we are positive that this makes the most sense in these uncertain times. Stay healthy!
In Fall 2014, Jeff and Charly met in Rochester, NY, while Jeff was in his final year at RIT for Engineering and Charly was braving the post-grad working world. On their first date, Charly talked for an hour and a half straight and Jeff still stuck around! They have been attached at the hip ever since. After seven months, a trip to Mexico, and endless hours of Game of Thrones, they decided to start a new adventure on the Connecticut coastline. While in Connecticut, they found a love for travel, jigsaw puzzles, and breweries. In 2018, after three years in a beautiful place, they moved back to the frozen tundra of Buffalo, NY. Their first step in laying roots in Buffalo was to find a furry companion. In July, they met a small, golden angel pup and fell in love. They named her Piper and they knew they wanted to give her the world. Five days later, she gave them three surprise puppies on their living room floor. That brings us to now. Charly and Jeff are eager to start this new chapter together and they are so excited to celebrate with the people that mean the most to them.
