Bennington Battle Monument

There is a great view of the monument from the motel. You can also tour the monument and check out the foliage views from inside!

Silk Road Covered Bridge

Vermont is home to over 100 covered bridges. There are three in Bennington crossing the Walloomsac River. This is the Silk road bridge, also check out the Henry and Papermill Village Bridges in the same area.

Robert Frost Stone House Museum

Visit Robert Frost's house, just a two minute ride from the hotel. The museum offers both indoor and outdoor activities, including a poetry trail.

Terry's Orchard

If you're staying at The Harwood Hill Motel, you won't have to go far to find something to do! This pick your own orchard is located directly across the street from the motel. You will find the entrance on Houghton Lane.

Great food and views. Definitely check out the salad bar! Conveniently located right next to The Harwood Hill Motel and just up the hill from the Hampton Inn

Willow Park

The town's best park and playground. Upper Willow has a small playground with parking off of East Road. Lower willow has a larger playground, disc golf, and ball fields and a walking loop. Parking for lower willow is not on Google. You will find the entrance off of Performance Drive behind Kaman Composites. Where the road bends, take the right turn through the gate and up the hill.

Market Wagon

Located one minute up the road from The Harwood Hill Motel, this is a great place for a quick lunch or to pick up local snacks and goods.

The Four Corners / Downtown Bennington

The Four Corners is Bennington's downtown. You will find a selection of shops, art galleries, restaurants, micro breweries and distilleries.

Grafton Lakes State Park

About half an hour from The Harwood Hill Motel.
