the countdown ends

In January of 2018, we both found ourselves on a winter semester study abroad trip through Salisbury University in the beautiful country of Costa Rica. We instantly clicked and even when we returned back to Salisbury, we continued to spend time together, even setting up 2 of our best friends (Jack and Amanda - please refer to the Wedding Party tab). This is where things get interesting... As the semester is coming to an end, CRICKETS from John's end. Sadie was forced to return the dress she bought for SAE formal and label John's contact "Do Not Answer". Needless to say, we parted ways in April of 2018. John moved to California to go to music school and Sadie finished out college and started a job in marketing. Flash forward to Labor Day of 2020, Sadie was looking to spend the weekend with Amanda and Jack in Washington DC. After inquiring, Amanda said she was more than welcome to come, BUT to her surprise, John was also coming to town. John was in the process of moving back to Maryland and Sadie was looking to move across the bridge. Sadie reluctantly agreed to join the crew on Labor Day despite the ending of her and John. We both arrived in DC on Friday for the weekend, and dare I say "the rest is history"? From that moment, we have been inseparable and yes John apologized for all who were wondering. 2 and a half years and 1 kitten later, on March 4, 2023, John proposed on the Ocean City Pier (one of Sadie's favorite places) with a lock promising their love forever. Now 4 years later... we get to meet on Labor Day weekend again...this time though at the altar to officially become husband and wife. Life works in weird ways sometimes, but our love is timeless. We are so excited to celebrate this special time in our lives with all of you.
