Question

Do I Need to Book My Own Lodging?

Answer

No! We reserved the entire resort and there will be enough lodging onsite to accommodate all guests. Rather than having people scattered across Northern Michigan, we wanted to create a unique experience where everyone can be together to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime gathering. The cost of reserving your stay will be $250 total per adult.

Question

What Is the Cost to Reserve Onsite Lodging?

Answer

The cost to reserve your stay is $250 total per adult. That's it! If you would like to join us earlier in the week on Wednesday or Thursday, there will be no additional charge. We hope this encourages you to come sooner for the celebration! For example, if your party arrives Thursday and includes two adults and a baby, the total cost of your stay will be $500.

Question

Where Do I Sent Payment to Reserve My Room/Cottage?

Answer

Once you have confirmed you will be staying onsite, your room can be secured by Venmo (@Valerie-Hellwig) or send a check c/o Valerie Hellwig, 23529 N. Sanctuary Club Drive, Kildeer, IL 60047. For any other travel and lodging-related questions please reach out to, Valerie Hellwig by text or email. Phone: 248-756-0675 Email: valh06@gmail.com

Question

Our Party is Traveling by Flight. What Does that Entail?

Answer

Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) is located in Traverse City and is only 23 miles or about a 30-minute drive from Fountain Point. Despite being a smaller airport, large commercial airlines still fly jets into and out of TVC (we think propeller planes are scary too)! We are not providing shuttle service to and from the airport, so be sure to make your own plans for ground transportation to Fountain Point. There are rental car services available at the airport. Please note that ride-sharing apps (such as Lyft and Uber) are very limited in this area.

Question

When Should I RSVP ?

Answer

The sooner, the better! Given the nature of our venue and the logistics involved, we are allowing guests to RSVP as soon as possible. If you already know you will be celebrating with us in 2022, go to the RSVP tab and complete the required questionnaire. The deadline to RSVP will be April 15, 2022.

Question

May I Bring a Guest?

Answer

We are planning on having a very tight-knit and intimate wedding weekend, and we are limiting guests in order to ensure there are proper accommodations throughout the weekend. If your invitation says, "and Guest", you are free to bring a date.

Question

May I Bring my Children?

Answer

Yes! You are absolutely free to bring your children. PLEASE ensure they are included in the RSVP process, so we can properly plan lodging and meals.

Question

What Should I Pack?

Answer

Northern Michigan is known for its temperate and beautiful summer climate. The average high/low temperature in Lake Leelanau for the month of June is 76/57. Guests should plan to bring summer and lake attire, but also be prepared with other layers should it get chilly in the evenings! Make sure you pack a swimsuit and jump in the lake!

Question

What Should I Do When I Arrive?

Answer

We are still working on arrival details, we will share more information closer to the date.

Question

What Should I Do for Breakfast?

Answer

There will be a food truck that serves coffee and breakfast items onsite every morning! You will also have coffee makers in each of your cottages. There are also plenty of cute little breakfast places in downtown Leeland, Traverse City, and Glen Arbor.

Question

If I Want to Send A Gift, What Address Should I Send it to?

Answer

816 Highland Ave, Oak Park, IL, 60304
