We literally met over Donkey Kong & a bad Helen Keller joke. My best (Heidi) brought me to a college house party one summer & I decided John had this quirky, interesting personality so I had to get his number before he left. I have no idea what he thought of me, I'll ask & edit later! Turned out we lived in the same neighborhood of Fargo (Osgood) so he showed up a week later to my apartment with some Buffalo Wild Wings (for himself) ha! 7 years, a small business, a VERY hard working John and his finished degree, lots of traveling and most recently a new home later we are getting married!

In Nashville on the pedestrian bridge overlooking downtown John (forgot to) got down on one knee & out of nowhere had my Grandma's ring (which he had kept casually in his pocket the whole entire time). The sun was jussst about to set & we barely made it up there in time on our Bird scooters. Both our phones died but before we did we got a picture from an adorable stranger who also was recently engaged. We had a couple hours to explore so I could ask all the questions and of course couldn't stop smiling (also worth noting that he wouldn't let me go into the Coyote Ugly bar because "he couldn't be letting his almost fiance dance on the bar before he proposed") HA! It was only our secret until we made it back to the hotel for supper to tell all our friends who were on our trip with us! In the airport the next day we FaceTimed all our closest friends & family and secretly screenshotted their reactions. Priceless.
