Things To Do

Sharing a few of our favorite restaurants and bars in Asbury Park for those staying in the area. Cookman Avenue is home to many shops, restaurants and bars so you can't go wrong, but these are our recommendations!

Pascal & Sabine

601 Bangs Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

A great dinner spot in Asbury Park!

R BAR

1114 Main Street, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

A little off the beaten path but still in Asbury Park, R Bar has an amazing menu - you'll likely need a reservation if you want to grab a meal on the weekend but we highly recommend!

The Speakeatery

705 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

If you're in need of a good breakfast sandwich come Saturday or Sunday morning, the Speakeatery has you covered! Serving breakfast from 8AM-11AM then transitioning into a menu of amazing sandwiches for lunch from 11AM-4PM.

Cardinal Provisions

513 Bangs Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

Delicious, more casual brunch spot.

Barrio Costero

610 Bangs Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

If you're in the mood for Mexican!

Johnny Mac House of Spirits

208 Main Street, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

If you're looking to grab a drink late-night, Johnny Mac's is tried & true. For every drink you buy, you get a ticket that you can redeem for a free personal pizza that they're cooking up fresh in their pizza oven - and they're actually pretty good!

Lola's European Cafe

539 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

We can't vouge for it ourselves, but we've been told they do an espresso martini VERY well.

Lovesick

530 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ 07712

One of the most narrow cocktail bars you may ever step foot in, but they've got a great menu of specialty cocktails and small bites if you're in the mood!

The Columns

601 Ocean Avenue, Avon-by-the-Sea, NJ 07717

We'd be remiss to not include this gem on our list - while we don't get there as often these days, this was our favorite spot for a night out. There will be a line (and likely a cover on a Friday night) but grab dinner on the outside porch, then skip the line/cover and head inside for live music and dancing (and don't ignore the snack bar). It's an 11-ish minute drive from Asbury Park (and about 9 minutes from Spring Lake).

For all the days along the way
