What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony begins at 3:30 PM. We kindly ask that you arrive by 3:00 PM to get settled before it starts.

How do I get to the reception from the ceremony?
Answer
Our reception will be held at Vic’s on the River, approximately a 20-minute scenic walk from the ceremony at Congregation Mickve Israel. Guests are welcome to: * Enjoy the walk through Savannah’s beautiful historic squares if comfortable * Take a quick Uber or Lyft * Drive to the reception location If driving, there are several nearby public parking garages within walking distance of Vic’s on the River.

Yes, the dress code is formal or cocktail attire.

Are the ceremony and reception venues handicap accessible?
Answer
Yes, they are both handicap accessible. The synagogue has a ramp and the restaurant has an elevator.

What should guests do if they arrive before 5:00 PM at Vic’s on the River?
Answer
Guests who arrive at Vic’s on the River before 5:00 PM are welcome to visit the main dining room bar or relax in the lobby area. If you check in with the host stand and let them know you are arriving for our event, they can check whether the event room is ready early. Once the room is available, guests will be invited upstairs.

Several parking garages are within walking distance of Vic’s on the River. The closest option is the Bryan Street Parking Garage, located directly across the street. The Whitaker Street Parking Garage and Congress Street Parking Garage are also nearby convenient options.

Where should guests park for the ceremony at Mickve Israel?
Answer
Mickve Israel does not have a dedicated parking lot. Parking is available via Savannah city street parking and nearby parking garages. Street Parking: Street parking near the synagogue is first-come, first-served with city meters. Good news — parking meters are free on Sundays, so guests do not need to pay for street parking on the day of the ceremony. Our reception will take place in the Victor Hall Room, located on the 5th floor of Vic’s on the River. Guests can check in with the host stand upon arrival and will be directed upstairs once the room is ready.
