What can we say? We love a fun theme! Eric has always dreamed of producing his own music festival. Katie has worked on many different kinds of events, including festivals. Neither one of us felt the desire for a big, traditional wedding. This is meant to be a gathering of people who mean something to us, as well as an opportunity to share one of our biggest passions: music. If we had to pick 5 words to describe HellerFest, they would be: Funky, Rainbow, Disco, Dance, & Party.
We LOVE the tiny humans, but unless specifically invited, we've got a limit on the little ones. It's more of an adult dance party, anyway.
There is a free gravel parking lot located right next to the Old Rock House, available to our guests. You may also park across the street near 4 Hands Brewing. Please note that Old Rock House is within walking distance of Busch Stadium, and a Cards vs. Cubs series is taking place that weekend. You may want to plan to use a rideshare app or carpool.
The ceremony will take place that afternoon at a space with a strict size limitation. We agreed to keep our ceremony very small and private so we can focus on each other and be present. Every single person who is invited to the reception is someone we care about, so please know that we are thrilled to have you join us.
It means that this is the perfect time to bust out that sequined jumpsuit that's been sitting in the back of your closet. We all know Eric is a t-shirt and jeans sort of guy, but even he is going all out for this!
The sooner the better so we can plan more accurately.
We have room blocks at The Principal Hotel in Columbia, IL and at The Drury Inn at Union Station in downtown St. Louis. Details on the Travel page. Anyone looking to go the Airbnb/VRBO route? If you'd like to stay close to Old Rock House, look for something in the Soulard or Benton Park neighborhoods.
