Blue Ridge Parkway

Lots of places to pull over and enjoy the sites. Several trails right off the parkway.

Shining Rock Wilderness

Waterfalls, panoramic views from the balds, deep forest...this area has it all. Another place we'd be happy to provide info for!

Asheville Arboretum

Eurisko Beer Company

Another favorite brewery. On the edge of South Slope, walkable to several other breweries and restaurants.

Bent Creek River Park

Tons of great mountain biking and running trails!

River Arts District

Great for walking around with a coffee. There are lots of art galleries, local shops, and great places to eat and drink over here. There's also a newly paved walking path along the river.

One World Brewing West

New Belgium Brewing Company

Lots of space for kids and dogs. Right on the French Broad River!

Mount Mitchell State Park

Highest point east of the Mississippi! You can essentially drive up to the top if you want, but there are a number of nice hikes that depart from various points along the road up.

Biltmore Estate

Get your tickets early if you want to tour inside the estate!
