Question

Who is the toastmaster and can I give a toast?

Answer

We welcome anyone who would like to say a few words/sing a song/recite a sonnet to contact our toastmasters. We are lucky enough to have two toastmasters - Hannah Lowther and Sofie Kristiansen. They can be contacted by emailing: toastmasterhdbryllup@gmail.com

Question

Are there any specific Danish wedding traditions?

Answer

There a few, especially during dinner. During the dinner if you start tapping your glass the couple have to get on their chairs and kiss. If you start stomping your feet, they have to get under the table and kiss. Likewise during the dinner, everytime the groom leaves the room, everyone who wants to, can come up and kiss the bride on the cheek, and if the bride leaves the room, everyone can kiss the groom. Danes also love to give a toast at a wedding, so please do get in touch with the toastmasters, if you would like to do so. Finally, after the dinner the first dance will be a waltz and lets just say Dom will have to be mindful of his toes in more ways than you think...

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

The 25th of June.

Question

Dresscode

Answer

Lounge suits for men, long summer dresses for women. Though leave your stilettos at home, as you will have to traverse gravel and grass! It may get a bit chilly later in the evening, though we have heaters. If you're staying the night, don't forget a swimming costume!

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

We're already incredibly grateful for your presence on the day we get married, especially as so many of you have travelled from afar. Therefore we really do not expect any presents bar celebrating with us. Should you still wish to give a gift, we do have a registry: https://onskeskyen.dk/da/wishlists/YBP2W1GOR06AUZho
