In 2023, I was working downtown with my bestie, Lilly. She heard that a band was playing that night at Silver Bluff and wanted to check them out. So here we are! Sitting outside, chit chatting, and then a boy in a bright yellow ‘Joyce Manor’ shirt walks by. I almost jumped over the table to tell Lil that I had just seen the most beautiful boy in the world! He was hanging with his friends, dancing, having a great time. I thought he seemed so fun and outgoing. Lilly pushed me to go speak to him. I was far too shy for that. Luckily, I have a bold friend who starts walking in their direction whenever one of the girls from his friend group waved us over. I was like “there’s no way this is happening right now” I swore this boy had to be taken. Lilly had told Kennedy and Bean that I was interested in Zane. They encouraged him to sit by me, and from there we hung out for the rest of the night. (Best wing women ever) I knew something felt very special about him. I went home and told my sister, Macayle and her husband, Kyle everything! I was so over the moon about meeting a boy like him. I said that night that I was going to marry him. And well now here we are. :) I think it was fate that we met that night. I almost didn’t go out and he almost didn’t make the trip. Thank god for friends and perfect timing. 🩷
