Question

Will there be Polynesian traditions? How can I participate?!

Answer

Yesss! Helen is half Tongan, and we will have Polynesian dances and traditions at our reception. If you would like to participate in her culture, please bring cash (any denomination) to fakapale our dancers. Fakapale is a cherished Tongan tradition of rewarding dancers—usually during a tauʻolunga (solo dance)—by placing money on their oiled skin, tucking bills into their clothing, or throwing money in the air to honor them. It is essentially a celebratory gift of appreciation, commonly practiced at weddings, birthdays, graduations, and other special milestones.
