Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Helen Stephens and Nolan Roberts
The first mission was founded in San Antonio in 1718, but our roots and culture go back much further. There are plenty of things to see and do in this beautiful city, but we will stick to the highlights here!

The Alamo

300 Alamo Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205

Duh.

San Antonio River Walk

San Antonio River Walk

San Antonio, TX 78205

Also duh.

Hemisfair

Hemisfair

San Antonio, TX 78205

One of the jewels of downtown! Hemisfair Park was home to the 1968 World's Fair and still boasts the Tower of the Americas. If you have time, ride the elevator to the top for the view and a cocktail in the bar! The park itself has been reimagined and is now a vibrant community destination with stores, restaurants, housing and plenty of outdoor space.

La Villita Historic Village

La Villita Historic Village

418 Villita Street, San Antonio, TX 78205

Right off the Riverwalk and across from Hemisfair Park, La Villita's charming streets are packed with art galleries, handicraft stores and cafes.

Historic Market Square

Historic Market Square

514 West Commerce Street, San Antonio, TX 78207

El Mercado, on the west side of downtown, is an historic market place that features indoor and outdoor shops, bars and restaurants. It's like stepping into Mexico!

Additional things to do

Some other interesting places to go include San Fernando Cathedral, Hopscotch Interactive Museum, San Antonio Missions UNESCO World Heritage Site (you'll need a car), King William Historic Neighborhood and Southtown Arts District (these last two are an easy walk south of downtown).
