I have had the honor of knowing Ese since we were in 6th grade at Rosa Parks Middle School. We went to the same high school, college, medical school, and maybe even residency (only time will tell ;) ). She is someone who extends her love and compassion to everyone around her. Whether you are down or celebrating your successes, Ese has always been a rock for me, and able to give me perspective on various situations. No matter how busy she is, she allows each person to be heard and meets them where they are. One of my favorite things is being able to Facetime her and share all the crazy things that happened during the day. She is the momma of 2 lovely kitties who love her so so much! I couldn't imagine saying "I Do" without her by my side.

I met Nicole through the Integrated Life Sciences Program at the University of Maryland. I am so grateful that our friendship has grown over the years and she is one of my sisters in Christ. Nicole is unbelievably supportive, wise, compassionate, loving, and hilarious all at the same time. There have been so many times where I felt hopeless, and Nicole kindly lifted my spirits and prayed for me. Honestly, I wouldn't be where I am without her. I love our online Facetime/ dinner dates and bubble tea outings! <3 :)

Tuwa has been one of my closest friends since high school! We have shared so many great memories including Skype dates while studying, kayaking at Lake Needwood, etc! She is someone who is so thoughtful and intentional with everything she does. I always love receiving cards from Tuwa during the holidays or on my birthday. So glad to share this special moment with her by my side! :)

Looking back on medical school, one of the things I enjoyed most was getting to grow in my friendship with Fatima! She is someone with many talents, and uses art as a means of creative expression. One of the coolest things she was able to do was start Creative Hearts and the Healer's Art (medical arts journal). I admire her ability to inspire others and use her voice to advocate for people. She is fearless, brave, and passionate and being friends with her has made me a better person. Fatima is someone who was able to witness the engagement first-hand and am so excited to have her there for my wedding! :)

I met Amy in the first year of medical school and I was instantly struck by how genuine and down-to-earth she was! One of my favorite things I got to share with Amy was my love for group-fit classes, including indoor cycling! She is one of the most dedicated and passionate people you will ever meet. She volunteers her time and goes above-and-beyond for her friends and loved ones. I am so thankful that Amy is one of my closest friends in med school and lends a listening ear when you need it most. :) So excited to have her by my side on my big day! :)

I am so blessed to meet Chinezi at the beginning of medical school. We were fortunate enough to live in Camden Court together and have shared so many laughs and tears throughout the years. Chinezi is so talented in multiple ways -- in particular, I've been able to experience her banana bread and deep knowledge about pop culture. She always brings so much joy and fun to any group she is a part of. We have shared some of the deepest conversations, and her support means so much to me. I'm so grateful for this beautiful sister in Christ. <3
