Hunter and Helen met in the North Georgia mountains during a UGA Relay for Life executive board retreat. During a game of "friend speed-dating," they were each randomly assigned the names of individuals who hadn’t made the trip—and ended up being paired together. That unexpected meet-cute sparked a connection that turned into movie dates, Georgia Theatre concerts and long walks on Hancock Ave. After two years together in college, their relationship continued as Helen began her sales career in Atlanta while supporting Hunter through Ole Miss law school. Now both living in Atlanta, they’ve built a joyful life surrounded by friends, family and their beloved dog, Biggie. In April 2026, they’ll celebrate their wedding in Helen’s hometown of Columbus, Georgia, where her parents still live on the same Saturday as their anniversary. With roots in friendship, shaped by years of growth, laughter, and love, their wedding will be a celebration of everything they’ve built together—and all the beauty still to come!
