For those of you that do not know, Helen and I met during a social gathering with family and friends. It did not take long for me to notice Helen walk through the front door of the Airbnb I was staying at in Oakland. My first instinct when I saw her was wow she is gorgeous! Let's just say she was not easy to talk to at first, but the more we spoke our conversations became natural. Our first date took place in San Diego at a restaurant right next to the beach. I knew from our conversation about culture, family, and goals in life, she was a special woman. Even though she lived in Northern California and I lived in Southern California, we stayed consistent with our communication. It was not long after that we became an official couple. I decided to propose to Helen in Mexico with a private romantic dinner in a gazebo next to the beach. From the first day we met, to the day I proposed, I knew I made the right choice and every moment has been memorable.
