We met in the summer after our second year at UVA while studying abroad in Valencia, Spain! After returning to Charlottesville, we realized we were next-door neighbors in our new apartments, and gradually developed a strong friendship. Before long, we realized there was something deeper to our friendship, and the rest was history! Throughout college, Eli accompanied Helen to many sorority events and Helen attended her first Phish show. We made it through the pandemic by binging every episode of The Amazing Race together. After two years of commuting between Richmond and Charlottesville to visit each other, Eli moved to Richmond in July 2023 and planned his own version of The Amazing Race for his proposal in April 2024. We are so excited to celebrate our big day with all of our friends and family just up the street from our Monument Avenue apartment at the Branch Museum of Design and Architecture on May 17, 2025!
