The Happy Couple
Helen and Brady’s journey began on a modern dating classic: Hinge. Helen was enjoying spring break, while Brady was busy renovating his house. Brady was intrigued by Helen and suggested they meet at Bru Burger in Plainfield. Brady arrived early, and Helen, showed up right on time. Sparks flew instantly. Brady was drawn to Helen’s confident energy and vibrant sweaters, while Helen couldn’t resist Brady’s charming South African accent and striking red hair. The night was full of memorable moments, but one stood out. Brady ordered a fancy drink, while Helen stuck with a Diet Pepsi. When Brady raised an eyebrow, Helen laughed and shared a funny story about a previous date that ended with a migraine and a car mishap. Brady appreciated her quirky honesty, and that moment set the tone for their relationship—lighthearted, genuine, and full of laughter. From then on, Brady continued asking Helen on dates, and she, both amused and smitten, kept saying yes. As their bond deepened, Helen fell for Brady’s kindness, charm, and humor. Brady, in turn, admired Helen’s caring nature, and unforgettable personality. In November Brady asked Helen’s parents for their blessing to marry her. A week later, he orchestrated a beautiful proposal downtown, under dazzling Christmas lights. With the help of Helen’s amazing friend Caitlin, who snapped a picture of the moment, Brady asked Helen to marry him. They can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of you and are grateful to have you in their lives!
Maid of Honor
Hannah Brainerd, the younger (and evidently cooler) sister of the bride, is two years Helen’s junior. A teacher by day at University High School, she somehow finds time to moonlight as a dog dentist and amateur interior designer—rearranging the furniture of anyone willing to hand over the floor plan. Married to Rick Brainerd for two years, they share their home with two energetic Labrador retrievers. If there’s one thing you could say about Hannah and Helen, it’s that they’ve known each other their whole lives—though, frankly, that’s probably been more than enough for both of them.
