How we met

We met during the end of summer, 2022, through my younger sister Anna, and William’s younger brother Tyler. Anna and Tyler were friends at the time, and I would go over to Tyler and Will’s house with Anna and hangout there. When I first started going over there during the summer, Will was in Montana working for his dad. When he came back from Montana at the beginning of August, I met him for the first time, and we quickly became friends. When he first confessed his feelings for me after about a month of getting to know each other, I turned him down. But eventually, he won me over and we officially became a couple on October 24th, 2022. And the rest is history :)

Our engagement story

August 31st, 2024

One of my biggest desires for when William finally popped the question, was for it to be a surprise. And boy did he deliver on that one! That Saturday started out as a very relaxing and laid back day. After sleeping in and having a chill morning, my family decided that we were going to spend the afternoon at the beach. So Will and I joined them and we had a great time swimming and hanging out with everyone. As it got closer to dinner time, my dad told us we were planning on doing a family dinner and asked us to run down to the store to get wine and snacks for the evening. So we went downtown to QFC and picked up the goods. On our way back to the car after we finished shopping, Will put his groceries in the back seat, whipped out the ring, got down on one knee next to the car, and asked me to marry him. I initially thought he was joking because we were literally in a QFC parking lot, and because of that I didn’t even notice the ring. But when I finally realized that it wasn’t a joke, and that it was actually happening, I then noticed the ring. I went into complete shock because first of all, the ring was absolutely huge, and second of all, I had no idea that he was going to do it. He had been gaslighting me for weeks, and especially that day, saying that he was so broke and not able to afford a ring. He had kept telling me that it would probably be months before he would be able to propose. But obviously, that was not the case. So when I was finally able to register what was going on, I of course, said yes. After that, we went home and announced it to everyone and spent the rest of the evening celebrating with my family. And that is how Will managed to make my top request for our engagement, come true. And that’s also how our local QFC parking lot, will forever be way more than just a parking lot to us.
