FAQs

The Wedding Website of Helena Payne and Kimon Pallikaropoulos
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Wear what makes you feel fabulous, we'd love to see you looking bright and beautiful, but remember extra layers if it's cold and SENSIBLE SHOES for the walk ie wellies or walking boots. The reception will be in a Marquee in a field so there will still be walking on grass to and from the Barn and Toilets etc so if you want to wear heels choose block or platforms.

Question

Should I travel the day before?

Answer

YES! Despite what google might suggest it is a long drive and we strongly suggest arriving the night before the Wedding because these country roads can't be rushed. Leave about 5-6 hours from London to do it comfortably.

Question

I've had a children, what do I do?

Answer

Brilliant stuff, good for you. Children are of course welcome and they will be catered for separately in a purpose built kid's tent with lots of exciting games and toys! Babies welcome to stay with their parents during the reception.

Question

I think I will need to travel in a 4X4 to and from the church...

Answer

Please let us know and send an email to helenakimonwedding@gmail.com We will find a space for you.

Question

I have specific dietary requirements who can I ask about ingredients?

Answer

We have a brilliant caterer who will provide a detailed list of all ingredients so you can be sure of the provenance of each component in every meal of the day. Your requests for the breakfast will be realised, but if you have any queries just email helenakimonwedding@gmail.com and we will endeavour to reassure you and answer any questions.

Question

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

As you know we have exceptionally large families so we are only able to invite those we know well. If your invitation is to you then unfortunately we couldn't make space for your partner. Thanks for understanding.

Question

Anything specific I should bring?

Answer

Please bring wellies or walking boots, umbrellas and layers. It's always best to be prepared.

Question

What happens if the weather is horrific?

Answer

We understand that making everyone walk up and down a hill then stand outside in the rain is not everyone's idea of a good time so we have a severe wet weather option in the form of St John the Evangelist on Countisbury Hill, 6 Tors Park, Lynton EX35 6NB. This lovely church is a fifteen minute drive from Parsonage Farm and has ample parking and ample indoor seating. If we are considering moving the ceremony to this spot we will email everyone two days before.

For all the days along the way
