How to Get to Zakynthos

There are a few different ways to reach Zakynthos. Here’s what we recommend: 1. Fly directly into Zakynthos (ZTH). Many major European airports — including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Athens — offer direct flights to Zakynthos. Frankfurt is often the most affordable option. 2. Book your main flight into Europe, then a separate flight to Zakynthos. It’s usually cheaper to fly round-trip from the U.S. to a European hub (like Amsterdam, Frankfurt, or Athens), and then book a separate flight to Zakynthos using sites like Expedia or Skyscanner. This is also a great option if you plan to travel around Europe before or after the wedding. 3. Fly into Athens and take the ferry. From Athens, you can drive to the mainland coast and take a ferry across to Zakynthos. This option is slightly less expensive but adds an extra day of travel. We suggest spending a night or two in Athens to enjoy the city before catching the ferry. We’ll share more details on travel tips and lodging options soon.
