Austin and Helena officially met during one summer vacation when they were only 15 and 16 years old, little did those young kids know that would be the start of the rest of their lives. This was not the first time they crossed paths though. Austin and Helena went to sister elementary schools, the same middle school, and then wound up at the same high school. So you could even say they were destined to meet at some point. After building a wonderful friendship, they started dating a few months later. Over the next few years the two navigated graduating high school, starting college for Helena, pursuing a job in the fire service for Austin, and then being long distance once again for Austin's start of his military career. Helena was fortunate enough to visit Austin a few times throughout his training, and it was during one trip to Texas that Austin proposed. Life didn't slow down when Austin returned home though. The two made the move up to Woodland, CA so that Helena could finish out her degree at UCD. Woodland brought friends, endless memories, and their pup Boots. Before they knew it, it was time to plan a wedding and now here we are!
