In light of the COVID-19, we have decided to postpone our full wedding celebration exactly one year from our original date, to take place on Sunday, August 1st, 2021. In the meantime, we're planning to be legally married this year in a small ceremony. If a pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that time and love are precious, and we can’t wait any longer to be joined together! We will continue to use our wedding website, so check back here for any updates!
We will let you know closer to our new event date when RSVPs will be due. We will likely use the same online RSVP system here on our website, but if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.
We wish the answer could be “yes,” but alas. Our venue is on the smaller side, and so we need to make sure we have enough space for our friends and family. To keep our guest list on track, we’re only able to accommodate those guests who will be formally listed on your new wedding invitations. Thank you in advance for understanding!
Your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for! However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, we have created a registry here on our website through Zola, which gives us one centralized place to list items from different stores/merchants. You can find it by clicking the “Registry” tab on this website.
IMPORTANT: We have hired a fantastic professional photographer to document our wedding. We understand it might be tempting to take pictures during the ceremony, but it is *extremely important* that our guests DO NOT take any pictures at that time, as the flash from phones will ruin the photographer’s shots. Plus, we want to see your lovely faces (not your phones) in our photos! Please be mindful of the photographer who will be taking pictures during the reception as well. When taking photos during the reception, please make sure that your flash is set to “OFF.” Thank you so much in advance!
There are approximately 27 parking spots available in the gravel areas around the Chapel when cars are stacked in straight-on. We recommend additional cars park only on the North side of Church Road. There may also be some overflow parking available at Eastmont Bible Church (TBD), which is a 4-minute walk down Church Rd. We highly encourage guests to carpool when possible. Ride-sharing services (e.g. Lyft, Uber) are another option. Also, please make sure that you have a safe manner of transportation home after the festivities!
Our suggested dress code is semi-formal to formal, depending on your personal style and preference. More than anything, we want you to be inspired by our beautiful historic venue (The Bell Tower Chapel) and the summer season! The ceremony will take place indoors, while the reception will be held outdoors. We strongly suggest our guests avoid wearing stiletto heels so they may easily walk on the grass and dance in the courtyard.
Absolutely! Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag, #heldforransom, so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Ají de gallina: creamy pulled chicken breast, ají amarillo (Peruvian mild yellow pepper sauce), Parmesan cheese, and walnuts. Seco de res: Northern Peruvian beef stew with cilantro beer sauce, corn, roasted bell peppers, and carrots. Sides: White garlic rice, pinto beans. Alfajores: classic Peruvian shortbread cookies filled with manjar blanco (dulce de leche). Pisco sour (cocktail): Pisco, the national spirit of Peru, mixed with lemon and lime juices, sugar, and egg whites, topped with a dash of bitters.
