Maid of Honor
Amanda is Helaina’s longest friend and met on the same gymnastics team in 2004. They immediately became bffs from their shared love of making fake floor routines in Amanda’s living room. At the reception ask Amanda about her husky Bristol, grapefruit crushes, and her love for outback.
Best Man
Connor is the 14 month separated brother that anyone would dream of having. Since 1996, he has been by Andrew’s side and if the UV is 5+ he’ll be getting everyone in the sun. At the reception ask Connor about the Dallas Cowboys, his hound Indigo, or his new home-owner activities!
Matron of Honor
Kaelin met Helaina when they were on the same gymnastics team in 2005. Kaelin and Helaina’s friendship quickly grew from eating Mike n Ike’s together at practice. Kaelin and Helaina went to college 30 minutes from each other. Then life coincidentally brought them both to Tampa, Florida for a couple years. At the reception, ask Kaelin about her son Paxton, the time she beat Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas in a gymnastics meet, or her two golden doodles.
Groomsman
Jon was one of Andrew’s first friends he met at JMU in 2015. They became inseparable and would always spend time together over the years even though they lived in the same town for only 9 months. At the reception ask Jon about how many countries he has visited with his wife Kelsey, their two amazing dogs, or his love for late night snacks.
Bridesmaid
Helen met Helaina at Virginia Tech in their Genetics class in 2016. Through their shenanigans at VT, they built a life long friendship. Helen is the life of all parties, and knows how to make anyone laugh. At the reception ask Helen about her nursing stories, her Bronco Beth, or her love for beer.
Groomsman
Jeremy is Andrew’s longest friend. They met in 2007 and even though Andrew was friends with Jeremy before Jeremy was friends with Andrew, their relationship grew through high school and has led to lifelong memories that will continue forever. At the reception ask Jeremy about his love for music, Disc Golf, and late night cruises through Thalia.
Bridesmaid
Hannah met Helaina in Tampa while attending grad school at USF. Hannah and Helaina thrived off being each other’s hype woman. They bonded over their love for Soho, a place they had to go every weekend in grad school. At the reception ask Hannah about the time she did a juice cleanse, Gasperilla 2018, or McDinton nights.
Groomsman
Mohit and Andrew met in 2016 at JMU when he sublet a room in Connor’s apartment. Mo completely meshed with the group and joined Andrew as the older guys. Mo and his wife Erin have always let Andrew crash when he shows up in a van for work. At the reception ask Mo about his 24th Birthday Pajama Party, Coco Cay, or his dog Teddy.
Bridesmaid
Meredith is Andrew’s sister and met Helaina in 2019. She is the sweetest one in the room and is always ready to throw out a quick joke you aren’t expecting. At the reception, ask Meredith about her first trip to NYC, love for reading, or her most embarrassing story of Andrew.
Groomsman
Casey and Andrew met in late 2015 and became so close even though they didn’t go to JMU at the same time. Andrew officiated Casey and Nicolena’s wedding in 2022 and has a clergy badge. Many years of beach trips, visits to Raleigh, and their dogs acting like cousins sealed this lifelong friendship. At the reception ask Casey about his music performance career, love for golf, and always trying to get after it.
Bridesmaid
Helaina and Madison were roommates in grad school meeting in 2017. She is the sweet southern soul always saying ma’am and sir. Madison and Helaina were in all the same classes in grad school, while also having weekly Outback and chilis dates. At the reception, ask Madison about being an Athletic trainer, hurricane irma, or Jim Cantore.
Groomsman
Patrick, also known as big fish, was one of Andrew’s first roommates at JMU in 2015. The two immediately connected and would realize they had so much in common. Fish is always willing to share advice, a story, and a laugh with anyone he meets. At the reception ask Fish about the types of grass in his yard, United Rentals, or his favorite part about being a Dad.
Bridesman
Helaina met Barrett through mutual friends after he returned from a long deployment overseas. Barrett is such a down to earth guy, and easiest person to talk to. He has such a large heart and will do anything for his friends. At the reception ask Barrett about wrestling, his treadmill marathon, or his love for karaoke.
Groomsman
Tyler was Connor’s roommate at JMU and met Andrew in 2014. Over the years they bonded over their love for sports and legendary trips with our friends. Tyler is always someone willing to help a friend and check a receipt twice. At the reception ask Tyler about Lake Norman/Charlotte weekends, The 76ers/Eagles, or about the housing market in Richmond.
Groomsman
Michael was Connor’s roommate at JMU and met Andrew in 2014. Being a fellow Orioles fan, the two became so close over the years full of conversations and trips together. Andrew introduced Michael to his Fiance, Lizett, and will officiate their wedding January 2024. At the reception ask Michael about all things fitness, his home rennovation projects, or his karaoke skills.
Bridesman
Helaina met Kasey when moving back to Virginia Beach in 2020. He is the hype man that every girl needs. From girls nights, cycling classes, and crazy beach days, Kasey quickly became an addition to her and Andrew’s family and an uncle to Dodger. At the reception ask Kasey about his love for the navy, when he broke his phone paddle boarding, or that time Kasey asked to move in with Helaina and Andrew.
Groomsman
Alex was Connor’s roommate at JMU and met Andrew in 2014. The two bonded immediately and would continue over the years. Alex is always down for a late night conversation or a random freestyle session. At the reception ask Alex about how many races he’s ran, his love for being a PE Teacher, and outdoor activities.
Service Animal
Dodger, formerly known as Ollie, was found outside of a kill shelter in Tennessee. Through Critter Cavalry Rescue, Helaina and Andrew adopted Dodger at 15 weeks old in 2020. Needless to say he lives like a beach king and even with three screws in his knee offers top knotch service to his handlers. Although he won’t be attending the wedding, he is available for virtual support that can be arranged two weeks in advance by the bride and groom.
