Brooke and David officially met in 2018 during their freshman year of college at Butler University. As fate would have it, they lived across the hall from each other! It wasn't until two years later, in 2021, where they began to talk more. On David's birthday, his friends Cole and Julissa took him to an Indianapolis dinner staple: Yats. Unfortunately for them, their car broke down on their way back to campus. In effort to keep their food warm during the snowy February, they put their dinner under the car heaters. David posted about this, which led to Brooke reaching out to wish him a happy birthday and hoped the food stayed warm. Through conversation, David realized Brooke had never had Yats and took the opportunity to invite her. By the end of the month, they decided to officially start dating. From there they have spent many evenings enjoying the arts, building legos, or playing board games! Brooke moved in with David in spring of 2023. Within that year, they adopted their cat Jasmine, who is very excited for her paw-rents to get married. In June of 2025, David proposed after a beautiful hike at Brown County State Park. The proposal was perfect, and now they can't wait for you all to join in the celebration of their marriage this October!
