Jacob knew that Marie was the one and only person he could spend his life with. The morning before the two of them flew to Rome for their semester abroad, Jacob rushed to the jewelry store and by sheer providence, found the perfect ring. He planned to propose after the Easter Vigil in Rome. While in Rome, Marie and Jacob both fell in love with the Basilica Mary Major and decided to make their Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary there on the Annunciation. While on the bus to the Basilica the morning of the Annunciation Jacob suddenly knew that today was the day. He quickly texted his friend, Paddy, to grab the ring and bring it to the church. Paddy, the great friend that he is, successfully brought the ring, got it blessed by a cardinal and then gave it to Jacob. After Jacob and Marie made their Consecration, they went out to a lovely lunch and after returning to the church to pray, Jacob asked Marie to be his wife.
