We're getting married!!

Believe it or not, we've worked for the same company in Madison, WI for the past 10 years, but it took 3 years before our paths crossed on a work trip in Columbus, OH. Less than 2 hours from Tyler's hometown of Cincinnati, OH. The start was far from romantic, we spent more time sizing up the other person's work credentials...lets just say Tyler had lots of opinions when Mallory crossed into his space. We were co-workers, competitively pushing each other to do better. As the competitiveness continued, the time together made us realize the two of us felt something more. We thought after our project in Columbus wrapped up it would be easier to explore a relationship outside of work, but my-o-my did our company have different plans... we ended up on a second project together, we're on our fifth together now and counting! Needless to say, we've figured out a good mix of life and work. A few defining moments made our friendship more along the way. Mallory still remembers sitting outside at a cafe in Columbus when Tyler asked her on their first official date, to a friend's wedding. We skipped a few of the traditional first dates, but we both were interested to see where this would go. Tyler met Mallory's mom WAY before we would have planned when we had an unexpected overnight delay in Denver... Mallory was definitely smitten with the cool kid in the backyard playing basketball and running a call, her mom could tell. As the weeks went on, we continued introducing each other to important people in our lives, and one of those pivotal moments was our first New Year's Eve together - a great night with friends in Madison. Since then, New Year's has continued to be one of our 'special nights' - Tyler proposed on our first New Year's Eve in Australia! We've found love, joy, adventure, and growth together through the years - whether exploring our families, spending time at the lake, having tough conversations, learning to golf, living and thriving through Melbourne's COVID lockdowns, cooking, making new friends, scuba-diving, travelling to new places, hiking and exploring... and so much more. Our journey together has been everything except traditional, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Each time we find a new fork or turn in the road we've embraced life together and figured out how we want to live and love each other. We're excited the road is finally leading us back to Madison in 2023!
